Westley is back, and he's put on some weight. Seriously, Cary Elwes plays an exact replica of his character from The Princess Bride. Seems like the writers were afraid we wouldn't recognize him. Anyway, this scene is a bit odd. He has quite clearly been drinking red wine, as is evident by the almost empty glass. He then chooses to switch to white wine (not a crime, but usually done the other way around because the generally more delicate whites can be tougher to taste after slamming your palate with heavy reds). The bottle is most likely Chardonnay (maybe Pinot Gris or Pinot Blanc) since those are usually the only white wines in that shape of bottle. But he's drinking it from a tiny glass typically used for Port or Sherry. Oops, USA, you missed that one.

Looks like we'll be seeing wine a lot in Season 4 of Psych. It makes sense, since the show takes place in Santa Barbara, CA, which is a haven for some of the world's best wineries. In the opening credits we see Shaun drinking a glass of white wine while his dad sticks to beer.
