Julie Gonzalo and Nathan Fillion drinking wine while talking to cehf Rocco DiSpirito.
Rocco: "Honestly, do these skinny pants make my torso look huge?"

This restaurant must have one hell of a wine by the glass selection. Every table in the restaurant has glasses of wine, but there isn't a single bottle in sight. And true to the scene, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and his date Madison Queller (Julie Gonzalo) each have a glass of white wine. The scene must have required several takes to get right, because Castle's glass is still cold - there is visible condensation - as Nathan Fillion generally holds the glass mostly by the stem. Madison very obviously manhandles the bowl of her glass, making it quite warm, thus no condensation. Seeing as warm white wine tastes gross, she does an impressive job of acting by not making a face when taking a sip.

While watching this scene a few things occur to me. Amazingly enough Madison's full, shiny, bright red lips leave no marks on the glass at all. And while trying to figure out how to mass market this lipstick so I never again have to fight to get red and purple off the rims of glasses, the question of why I recognize this actress gnaws at the back of my mind.

Of course I'm distracted by the sudden appearance of the famous chef Rocco DiSpirito. At least I think he's a famous Chef. Maybe he just plays one on every reality show and talk show over the last eight years. But I definitely know it's him because his name is neatly printed on his Chef's coat.

And although he has nothing to do with the wine, it's at that moment that I'm weighing whether or not I care who he is a little or none at all that I suddenly remember the actress playing Madison was in that lawyer show with The Chick from Species. You know the one; Natasha Henstridge.

Oh, and the lawyer show was Eli Stone. You remember that show, right? Right?
