Memphis and 2006 La Posta Bonarda

Memphis breakdown - We're starting to wonder if Memphis coach John Calipari pays the NCAA selection committee to snub his team just so he can use it to fire his players up before the big dance. The Tigers are a dominant defensive team with the length to disrupt even the best shooters in the country. They finished the season an impressive 31 and 3 and are riding a remarkable 25 game winning streak. We can't think of a serious weakness to point out. Following yet another year's disrespect from the selection committee, we imagine Memphis will hit the floor with something to prove. Look out.

2006 La Posta Bonarda - Getting snubbed with a number two seed leaves Memphis with a chip on it's shoulder. The La Posta Bonarda has that same chip. Overshadowed by the more popular Argentinian grape Malbec, Bonarda produces a wine that is full bodied, smoky, herbal, gamy and rich in fruit. Go ahead and try it. You won't be forgetting the name Bonarda any time soon.
