90 / B+
Tasted by Mike Supple - 12 Dec 2008
Dark purple core with a lighter fuchsia rim. Oak and vanilla aromas float over rich black cherry, cassis and raspberry with dark charcoal, spicy cinnamon and a hint of eucalyptus. Smooth entry on the palate, quickly building to a full bodied wine. Lots of tannins, yet very well integrated and balanced. Cedar and cinnamon are layered over plum and cassis leading to a chocolate, spice and fruit finish. Decant a couple hours and enjoy it now or put some in the cellar and let it keep getting better for several years.

89 / B+
Tasted by Mike Supple - 03 Jan 2008
Bright lemon yellow color. Apricot and ripe yellow pear aromas are followed by sweet vanilla oak. The front of the palate is dominated by peach, and the oak is much more subdued. Apricot joins the peach with a touch of citrus. Good acidity and medium-bodied with a nice lingering fruit finish and a touch of cream.

Medium lemon yellow color. Butter and candied lemon aromas are surrounded by a touch of oak and candied green apples. Good richness in the mouth with full and persistent yet small and creamy bubbles. Not overly acidic with good balance of fruit and toast.

Very pale yellow with a water-white rim. Candied citrus aromas are marked by light flint. Fairly vigorous in the mouth with lively acid - this is a very young wine and needs much more time. Nice depth of fruit with an edge of rich toasted oak.

Very pale lemon yellow in the glass. The nose is somewhat muted. The bubbles are fairly creamy on the palate, yet oddly larger than the NV Carte Blanche. Big green apple flavors lead to candied lemon on the finish.
