88/B
Tasted by Mike Supple - 08 Mar 2009
Bright ruby core with a garnet rim. Rich spicy plum aromas are mobbed by sweet candied violets, cassis and a touch of green tea and dried cherries. Plums and nutmeg spice dominate the palate. Ripe, round tannins provide plenty of support for the fruit. Finish of plums and black cherries.
A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasted by Mike Supple - 15 Jan 2009
Medium purple core with a pink rim. Big candied blackberry, raspberry and cherry fruit explodes on the nose, surrounded by cola and orange zest with a nice lifted rose petal note. Very floral on the front palate with roses swimming around orange and raspberry. Very young, with just a hint of oak spice coming through. Great complexity and balance front to back; great for drinking now, and will keep getting better over the next 3 - 5 years.

Tasted by Mike Supple - 06 Jan 2009
Purple core with a lighter rim. Smoke and gravel waft from the glass, supported by darker blueberry and cherry fruit. Black licorice candy on the palate with some juicy black cherry and a touch of earth. Thick on the mid-palate with a light tannic grip on the back end. Decent, but not particularly well balanced.

Very pale lemon-green color. Lighter sweet tree fruit aromas - apricot and green apple with ripe candied citrus. Dark toasty flavors with strong clay mineral notes. Big acidity through the palate. Long lingering earthy notes over citrus, with a touch of white truffle on the finish.

Light orange zest aromas followed by toast and milk chocolate. White truffles on the front of the palate lead to tight acidic green apple. Medium body, but a bit harsh on the finish. Lingering candied lemon.

Dark purple core with a violet rim. Spicy vanilla aromas surround milk chocolate, candied raspberry, fresh blueberry and a touch of licorice. The front palate is lush and bold with sweet blueberries leading to a juicy mid-palate. Full bodied with chewy yet approachable tannins. Dark roasted coffee, smoke and toasted oak linger on the finish.
Tons of flavor and complexity for the price. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (about 50%) and old vine Grenache and Syrah. Great for anyone just getting in to reds, yet it still has enough power and body to impress even the staunchest of Cabernet collectors. This wine also has enough tannin that it will continue to age well, and the oak should integrate into the wine over the next couple of years making it more lush and velvety. The toasted oak gets a little weighty on the back end but will be no problem enjoyed with some good rich foods. This is a unique wine and not imported to many places in the US, but it is worth seeking out and purchasing online!

Tasted by Mike Supple - 16 Oct 2008
Dark ruby core with a lighter pink rim. Sweet blackberry and cherry aromas up front are surrounded by smoke, soy sauce, dried anise and a hint of barbeque ribs. Medium bodied in the mouth with ripe fruit flavors of blueberry, black cherry and raspberry. The tannins are fairly small and ripe, making this an approachable wine that is ready to drink (but with enough oomph to last another 2 - 4 years). Nice lingering finish with a touch of Good & Plenty candy licorice.
Argentina strikes again by bringing one of the best values to the wine world. A blend of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon (for red fruit and structure), 33% Malbec (for spice and acidity) and 33% Syrah (for rich, dark flavors and body). All this fruit and power needs balance to keep the wine from going over the top, and the acid in the Malbec does the trick. We pulled this wine out on set recently while shooting some Supple Wine videos and not a single person could resist. Two cases of this stuff disappeared in a heartbeat!

Tasted by Mike Supple - 05 Jan 2009
Pale lemon yellow core with a clear rim. Candied lemon zest aromas surrounded by jasmine, sweet herbs, wet stone and a touch of cantaloupe. Soft entry on the palate with sweet white peach balanced by a zesty core of lemon. Medium acidity with tons of minerals under the fruit. Medium length with a clean, crisp finish.
100% Sauvignon Blanc (somewhat rare for this region as you often fine Semillon blended with it). Delicious right now, but enough acid and body to hold for a little while. Drink over the next 2 - 3 years.

Dark, inky purple core with a vibrant rim. Spicy aromas of caramel, licorice, cardamom and nutmeg around rich plum and blackberry with a smoked ham and white pepper punch. Big in the mouth but with great balance. A hint of nickel and minerals come in on the mid-palate supporting toasty red cherry and raspberry, leading to lingering candied violets.
A blend of 95% Syrah and 5% Malbec.

Bright pale yellow core with a clear rim. Very floral and tropical aromas jump out of the glass: mango, candied flowers, ripe peach and wet stone with a touch of golden delicious apple. Fresh, crisp apples on the front of the palate followed by a touch of orange and tons of mango, all supported by light flint. Medium acidity with a long, lingering finish. This is incredibly easy to drink, yet impressively balanced and complex.
I highly recommend this one for drinking before a meal, with any type of fish or cream sauce dish, or just hanging outside on a warm spring or summer day. Throw a bottle in a cooler, drag to a park and just people watch.
