88/A-
Tasted by Mike Supple - 07 Mar 2009
Pale lemon yellow core in the glass. Youthful and fresh aromas of green apple and a touch of lemon all surrounded by light white flower hints. Dry on the palate with great zesty acidity. Lemon zest, green apple and white peach surround a hint of wet stone.
A perfect wine to kick off the beginning of Spring. Fresh, crisp and easy to drink. The perfect cocktail wine for a Thursday evening or just hanging out in the back yard while playing fetch with the dog on a Saturday afternoon. Also a perfect accompaniment to crab or oysters. Sylvaner is one of the classic grapes of Alsace that is unfortunately being replaced in many areas by the more popular Riesling grape.

Tasted by Mike Supple - 19 Dec 2008
Pale gold core with a clear rim. Very floral and spicy on the nose: orange blossom, ripe apricot, peach and a touch of baby powder. Medium bodied in the mouth with flavors of peach and wet stone surrounded by a lot of floral perfumey notes. Medium acid that builds on the finish. Lingering fresh herbs.

85 / C+
Tasted by Mike Supple - 15 Dec 2008
Medium ruby core with a lighter rim. Aromas of dill, burnt tobacco and earth with nice sweet black cherry. Smooth entry on the palate, but the acid is a bit high in the middle. Dill and cherry flavors with a touch of mint on the back.
Alsace is mostly known for it’s fantastic white wines, and this producer easily makes some of the best of them. The Pinot Noir is nice for a change of pace, but don’t grab this thinking you’re getting classic ripe, balanced and seductive Pinot.
