You've made it past the first few dates. You really like this person. It's time to kick it up a notch, turn on the charm and bring the romance. There's nothing more romantic than sitting alone, with the countryside as your backdrop, and enjoying sumptuous wines together. It's easy to take wine on the go. Plenty of portable wine bottle storage is available. There are myriad wine carriers and totes that make outdoor wine bottle storage simple and stylish. In fact, outdoor wine bottle storage has become rather sophisticated. From picnic baskets with wine bottle storage pockets to portable wine cellars on wheels, outdoor wine carriers make it easy to take the tasting outdoors.

Sitting in a scenic landscape and tasting wines is an experience that only can be enhanced by packing the perfect wine-tasting picnic. Simple but tasty finger food is the way to go. Focus on what's important: the wine and the romance! To begin, ensure that your wine carrier has suitable wine bottle storage to handle both red and white wines. You might want to mix it up a bit.

Creating the picnic is easy, but making it romantic takes a little imagination and creativity.

  • Pack a variety of foods that compliment wine. Gourmet cheese, baguettes, crackers and fruit are classics for a reason. Cured meats and chocolates are also a nice touch. What's really important to remember is that all of these foods are easily fed to one another.

  • Set the scene. Bring fresh flowers, a picnic blanket and romantic music. Wine bottle storage totes have become really high tech and some even have built-in docks for your iPod. Creating the perfect playlist for your romantic afternoon could make this date legendary. (Although perhaps more likely if you are Barney Stinson.)

  • Presentation is everything! Pack it pretty. Do NOT lug lunch in brown grocery bags! Stay tuned in! Don't spoil the natural beauty of the landscape. Tote the goods in a wine carrier and bring a red-checkered table cloth. Everything should add character to the date - even your wine bottle storage.

  • Remember the wine opener and other utensils. Along with the opener (unless you went with a screw cap), pack some glasses, forks, spoons, knives, napkins, plates and wet naps. With today's elaborate, portable wine bottle storage, it's possible that everything will fit nicely into your tote.

Once you are set up, it is time to open the bottle of wine. Drink responsibly and remember to serve your date first. Eat, drink and feel the romance.
